Examples of recent projects include:
A biotech client required the installation of key bioinformatics
database and software components and integration of tools into
their existing infrastructure. Nexus Genomics provided a customized
solution quickly, working onsite with the internal IT group.
While the sequencing of the Human Genome is near completion, the functional interpretation of its sequences is far from over. Nexus Genomics worked with a biotech client to discover novel human and mouse drug targets, using our internal informatics platform and proprietary software. Our infrastructure and experience allows us to rapidly discover targets in focused areas for our clients.
A large amount of public and private microarray data is available
for analysis but requires specialized knowledge for proper
interpretation. Nexus Genomics worked with a biotech client
to analyze the expression of selected genes. Prioritization
based on gene expression analysis reduced the number and cost
of wet-lab experiments.
A large amount of data resides in publicly available databases
yet it remains cumbersome to retrieve and is not integrated
for use by biologists. Nexus Genomics worked with a biotech
client to create an integrated, ontology-based database of
a large drug target family. Using our software, we are able
to easily construct resources that are hyperlinked, queryable,
and portable for exploratory use by biologists.
